Review of our Potpourri series

My personal approach to our Potpourri series
I would like to give my own personal assessment of our potpourri series. Each cannabis variety – even when we are talking about leaves and not buds – carries its own character and its own expression. These are nuances that cannot always be captured in a short and technical product description.
With this review, I therefore want to explain how I personally experience the products , and what you as a consumer can realistically expect – and just as importantly: what you should not expect.
I am passionate about the good experience and honest communication. For me, it is important that there is a space where the cannabis plant can be explained as it is – without exaggeration, myths or hidden promises.
What is CBD Potpourri?
CBD Potpourri is – at its most basic – ground cannabis leaves from various legal CBD strains. It is plant material that is often overlooked, but still contains both the aroma, texture and character of the original plant.
Potpourri is not a top-of-the-line product, nor does it try to be. It is a standalone product with its own purpose and its own experience.
Our Potpourri series at PostmanFlowers
At PostmanFlowers we work with 5 different potpourri varieties , each of which is composed with a focus on a different experience and use. Overall, they can be divided into two main categories:
🌿 1) Original CBD Potpourri – without isolate
This is our original potpourri without the addition of isolate sprinkles . There is no added CBD, CBG or CBN in powder form.
Experience:
The original potpourri does not provide an enhanced or amplified effect that is often associated with isolate-added products. Instead, it provides a more raw and honest insight into the plant as it is – unenhanced and natural.
🌱 2) Potpourri with isolate – an expanded experience
Potpourri Isolate is essentially our original potpourri with legal isolates in powder form added. There are three isolates that we are allowed to sell and use:
- CBG
- CBD
- CBN
Each isolate contributes its own expression and experience, which you can read more about in our article:
“What is the difference between CBG, CBD and CBN?”
These three isolates together constitute what I would describe as the legal and mild cannabis experience , where the focus is on balance, nuance and diversity – not strength.
⭐ Isolate Plus – our own mix
Based on the three isolates, we have chosen to create our Isolate Plus , where CBG, CBD and CBN are mixed together in one single isolate spray. The composition is made carefully and to the best of our ability, with a focus on wholeness rather than individual dominance.
The result is a potpourri where several properties come together in the same product – without one taking over the picture.
My personal review of our Potpourri variants
(CBG, CBD, CBN Isolate Plus and Original Potpourri)
When we chose to expand the potpourri series, it was crucial for me that each variant actually provided its own experience – and was not just the same product in new packaging.
Potpourri is often underestimated, but the truth is that the leaf material contains far more character than you might initially think.
Therefore, I am sharing my own experience of the different variants here – based on how I use them myself and experience the differences in practice.
🌿 Original CBD Potpourri – the pure plant
The original potpourri for me is the essence of the cannabis plant, unfiltered and unfortified . There is no isolate sprinkle, no extra layers – just ground leaves from selected CBD varieties.
Experience:
I find this variety to be light, neutral and very earthy. It doesn't give a strong effect, but rather a calm and authentic plant sensation. It's perfect for those who want to understand the cannabis plant as it is - without being "pushed" in any particular direction.
👉 My recommendation:
For beginners or for those who appreciate the natural and unenhanced.
🌱 CBG Potpourri – clarity and lightness
The CBG isolate gives the potpourri a completely different expression. For me, this variant is the most “fresh” in the experience.
Experience:
I find CBG to be more invigorating and clear in expression. It feels lighter, more focused and less heavy than the other varieties. A potpourri I personally choose earlier in the day, or when I want a more “clean” and light cannabis experience.
👉 My recommendation:
For those who want a mild, clear and balanced experience without heaviness.
🌿 CBD Potpourri – balance and classic calm
The CBD variant is the most versatile in my opinion. This is where you really start to feel the difference between original potpourri and isolate-added potpourri.
Experience:
I find this one to be more rounded and harmonious. Not overwhelming, but clearly more “present” than the original. This is where many will feel that potpourri suddenly makes sense as a product and not just leftover material.
👉 My recommendation:
For those who want a classic, mild cannabis experience with more depth – without it being heavy.
🌙 CBN Potpourri – depth and weight
CBN is the variant I personally associate with evenings and relaxation. It stands out clearly from the other two isolates.
Experience:
CBN potpourri is experienced by me as heavier, rounder and deeper. Not “strong” in the classic sense, but more introverted and calm. It’s the variant I choose when the day is over and I need to slow down.
👉 My recommendation:
For those looking for a more subdued and calm experience.
⭐ Isolate Plus – CBG + CBD + CBN in interaction
Isolate Plus is our own take on the most complete potpourri experience , where all three legal isolates play together.
Experience:
Here I clearly experience the most complexity. None of the isolates drown out each other – instead a balanced whole emerges, where clarity, calm and depth exist simultaneously. This is the potpourri that I reach for when I don't quite know what I'm in the mood for – but just want a good, well-rounded experience.
👉 My recommendation:
For the experienced user – or for those who want “it all” in one version.
Final thoughts
Potpourri is not a substitute for top shoots – nor should it be. For me, it is a more honest insight into the plant , its structure and its many nuances. With our series, the goal has never been to promise anything, but to give the consumer the opportunity to feel the differences for themselves.
Cannabis is not magic – but it is not just green material either. And that is precisely the space I would like to help convey.
Thank you for reading.
